Vanilla pancakes with pecan maple syrup- YUM!

Mmmm I was watching the Paula Deen show the other day and she was making waffles with this pecan maple syrup.. and I just had to try it! (Although I was too hungry and I gave up on trying to search for the recipe she used)

Pecan Maple Syrup
- 2tblspn of butter
- 1/2 cup pecans- rough chop
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (whatever you have in the fridge!)
- pinch of salt

Step 1- Melt butter on low, add in pecans.
Step 2- Toast them for a minute.
Step 3- Add maple syrup and salt.
Step 4- Heat until warm.
Step 5- Add on to your pancakes or waffles. Enjoy!

To make the vanilla pancakes, follow directions on your favorite mix, and add a tsp of vanilla (I usually do the 7-8 pancakes which is a cup of pancake mix, and 3/4 cup water)

Dont they look yummy?! Enjoy,
Ashley

B-A-N-A-N-A-S

mmmm I love banana's! And they are even yummier with chocolate on them!!!

Chocolate Covered Banana's
Any topping you would like- I used pecans
 Chocolate pieces
 Banana's
 wax paper

Step 1- cut up banana's to desired sizes.
Step 2- Line a cookie sheet with wax paper, place banana pieces on it- place in freezer until you are done with step 3.
Step 3- Melt chocolate according to package.
Step 4- Spoon chocolate over the banana pieces- then sprinkle with your topping of choice. DO NOT put the banana pieces into the chocolate to cover.. when you get a few done your chocolate will be all sorts of funk- globbed up.. and no matter what you do.. it will not work nicely again- dont ask how i know :)
Step 5-When all pieces are finished place into freezer, after about an hour transfer them into an air tight container. (before eating let sit out for 10mins.. other wise your going to the dentist for the chipped tooth!- No I didnt do that!) Enjoy!

Dont worry... here they are..

Did you think that i already was slacking on 365 project?? I had quite the day yesterday, didnt have time to post, I do however, always have time to take a picture :)
#2/365-A new gym routine- just go! I would like to start going again, I need to start going again, all this cooking is showing its toll :)

#3/365- Oliver, he is my baby! I've had him since he was 5 weeks old, he is 1yr and 5months now. He LOVES the snow :)

MMmmm Pizza!

I LOVE pizza! The only thing equivalent to Papa John's pizza with the garlic dipping sauce in my world, is.. well home made pizza! And thats just what we had last night for dinner.

Hamburger Pizza
Ingredients-
Flour (If i use wheat dough, I use wheat flour!)
 Corn meal
 Hamburg- I used about a 1/2lb
Mozzarella Cheese (as much as you want!)
Sauce (I dont like alot of sauce on my pizza..)
Spices (I used salt, pepper and pizza seasoning)
Pizza dough (I buy the dough in the bakery freezer- mainly b/c I dont have a kitchen aid stand mixer, I've tried to make by hand once.. it wasnt pretty :)
(usually when i make pizza, i melt some butter, add garlic and parsley, then rub it with a silicone brush on the "crust" )
Step 1- make husband brown up the hamburg, make sure he adds the salt and pepper, while he is doing this, lightly flour your surface and flatten out dough. (you can use a rolling pin, or slap it out- I leave that method to MB when we make pizza together!)
Step 2- Sprinkle cornmeal on your cooking surface; pizza stone, put dough on pizza stone, and dock the dough - I use a fork, I stab the dough until I feel satisfied :) make sure to not stab your "crust" you still want that to rise up.
Step 3- Slop on your sauce (I sprinkle the pizza seasoning at this point)
Step 4- Cheese it up to your liking
Step 5- Add your husbands nicely browned hamburg.
Step 6- Bake at 450 degrees (or whatever the package for your dough says) for 10-12minutes.
Step 7- DEVOUR YOUR PIZZA!

Start of 365 project...

Well my intent to start 365 project on the first of January.. out the window.. but only by 5 days :) Here is photo #1
This is little devil kitten (as I type this I had to take her off of my scrap desk- she loves to play with my sponge daubers.. I find them EVERYWHERE!) Starbuck, no no.. not after the coffee, as I do love coffee.. my husband got to name her, and she is named after a character on Battlestar Galactica- I love my Geek :)

I have recently started selling Stampin Up -- you will see plenty of my stamping & scrapbook projects. Im sure with my husband deploying soon, I will probably pick up some more hobbies-- so you never know what you will find when you stop by my blog :)
